September through June, except December:

First Sundays from 1:00 to 3:00

Please note that our hours are incorrectly listed on Google!


The museum will be open for visitation only.  Research services may not necessarily be available during these hours.  Please contact the society with any research requests or questions.

From points South

From I95, take exit 69, CT Route 9 North. Follow Route 9 North to old exit 18, CT Route 99. The exit will put you directly onto CT Route 99 North, which is Main Street in Cromwell. Follow Main Street for approximately 1 mile. The Stevens Frisbie House will be on the left hand side, just before a blinking yellow light. Park either in the parking area behind the house, or along New Lane, which is just to the  north of the house.

From points North

From I91, take exit 22S, CT Route 9 South. Follow Route 9 South to old exit 19, CT Route 372. At the end of the exit ramp, turn left onto CT Route 372, West Street in Cromwell. Follow West Street for approximately 2 miles to CT Route 99, Main Street in Cromwell. Turn left onto Main Street. The Stevens Frisbie House will be on the left hand side, just before a blinking yellow light. Park either in the parking area behind the house, or along New Lane, which is just to the north of the house.
