Cromwell Historical Society
Juleps & Viragoes
CANCELLED
With the heaviest of hearts,  we are compelled to cancel this year's Ball of the Rebellion.  While we had hoped that the situation surrounding COVID-19 might improve by early April, indications appear to indicate the opposite.  We are deeply sorry and hope that you will join us next year on April 3rd.

Refunds for all tickets purchased will be offered as soon as arrangements can be made.  Please let us know how you would like us to handle this for you.

On behalf of the Juleps & Viragoes and the Cromwell Historical Society,  we wish you the very best of health during this frightening time.  We very much hope to see you in 2021.

The Juleps & Viragoes Ball of the Rebellion
____________________________

CANCELLED for 2020

On Saturday, April 4, 2020, the community room at the Cromwell Town Hall will become Cromwell's Grand Ballroom as the Cromwell Historical Society presents the ninth annual Juleps & Viragoes Ball of the Rebellion.  Each year, the Ball of the Rebellion features decorations and scenarios which reflect the events of the corresponding year in Civil War history.

While many people do wear period clothing to the ball, it is not required.  Out of respect for the occasion, we simply ask attendees to dress as formally as possible.  Modern suits and dresses are equally welcome.  The members of Juleps & Viragoes are happy to answer questions and make suggestions regarding attire.  The dancing itself is quite easy to do and is extremely enjoyable!  The members of Terry & Jim Historical Dance "Call" the dances, which simply means they tell everyone where to go and what to do (with the utmost politeness, of course.)  There is a grand reception during the intermissions which features outstanding, period food. Live, Civil-War era ballroom music is provided by the members of Spare Parts, which specializes in historical dance music.

Tickets $30.00
Members of the Cromwell Historical Society $25.00
